Meyoco is an Anime drawing superstar!  She has thousands of fans on Facebook and over 200,000 on Instagram.  She is known for her ultra cute drawings around the world!

We caught up with her to see what she is up to and how she is an advocate against fun discrimination!  Check out her interview below and an awesome drawing she made for us of Rey and BB-8!

1. What is your name?  Where are you from?

My name is Meyoco, and I'm from Indonesia!

2. What is your favorite toy line?  Any specific favorite figures?

I don't have a specific favorite line, but I've always liked Japanese anime action figures. 

3. How do you feel about "fun discrimination" in the toy industry and what should we do about it?

I hate how people seem to still see toys as something gendered. Considering how these days men, women, and everyone in-between pretty much like the same stuff; it just seems very pointless to me.

As for what we should do about it, I think fans are the ones who can make a difference in what is okay and not okay in the toy industry. I think toys are slowly shifting toward being less discriminatory, and I think that's because everyone who like toys simply buy them without minding the attempts to make toys seem gendered. Lots of people have also started speaking up about how there shouldn’t be “toys for girls/boys”, and I think that really helps shape minds, too!
